Screening & Phone Interview
If your application demonstrates a match for the open, posted position, you will be contacted to schedule your first interview. This first interview is a phone discussion with Human Resources which generally takes about 30 minutes and is designed to further explore your skills and background experience. We will share the notes from our conversation with the hiring manager of the specific position for which you applied. This is done weekly, and usually, we are sharing notes from multiple interviews so a selection of the best candidates can be made.
Hiring Manager & Culture Interview
If your phone interview is selected, you will then be brought in for an in-person interview with the hiring manager. This meeting generally takes 45-75 minutes and is a deep-dive discussion to see how your experience will translate into the specific role and team environment at Metal-Era. This is a great opportunity for you to also evaluate the manager you might be working for and to assure you’re a good personality match to our culture. In some cases, and based on the specific role, you may be asked to shadow an incumbent or meet with a panel of employees or leaders.
Assessments & Pre-Placement Contingencies
If you are considered a final candidate, you may be issued an assessment related to your position. This may include personality questionnaires or technical aptitude tests, depending on your role. Finally, all offers of employment at Metal-Era are contingent on professional references, a background check, drug screen, and a pre-placement physical examination for non-office positions.
