What's the difference between shop fabricated perimeter edge metal and Metal-Era's products?

Less than 5% of contractors can manufacture an ANSI/SPRI ES-1 design as required by the IBC. Shop fabricated copings are rarely, if ever, tested to FM or Miami-Dade standards and they typically carry only a 1-2 year workmanship warranty. Conversely, Metal-Era products are both ANSI/SPRI ES-1 tested and both FM and Miami-Dade compliant. They also come with the industry's best warranties.

Do Metal-Era products have to be installed by special installers?

No. Installation simplicity is a major focus for Metal-Era. In most cases, the roofing contractor will install our products with the roofing system.
